Overview

University of Tartu offers a wide selection of master’s programmes in very different disciplines. Presently there are 20 master’s programmes taught in English including such fields as philosophy, semiotics, folkoristics, languages, education, international relations, political science, regional studies, law, economics, business management, finances, chemistry, measurement, engineering, robotics, geoinformatics and computer science. There is only one intake per year and students apply to the university from January to March. The academic year starts in the beginning of September. To be eligible for master's studies, applicants must have completed bachelor's studies or equivalent qualification or be about to graduate in spring/summer before the academic year starts. Most of the master’s programmes offer tuition waivers.
