EdUHK is a young and thriving research-active university, and has for research. The academics and researchers have been undertaking 175 ongoing projects with HK$105.8 million (in 2017/18) in funding provided by the Research Grants Council and other funding bodies, which bears testament to its research capacity as a young and thriving university.

are a vital element of student life at The Education University of Hong Kong. There are currently four on-campus student accommodation halls, namely Northcote Hall, Grantham Hall, Robert Black Hall and the Jockey Club Student Quarters, which offer approximately 2,200 residential places.

Scholarships for international students

The Education University of Hong Kong offers a number of international scholarships to well-rounded, deserving undergraduate students on the basis of academic merit, personal qualities, extra-curricular activities and community service. These include:

  • Full scholarships
  • Tuition scholarships
  • Half tuition scholarships

In addition, all full-time MPhil and PhD students at EdUHK are eligible for , which cover tuition fees and a stipend. 

International students can apply for the , which is run by Hong Kong’s Research Grants Council. It includes an annual stipend of approximately US$38,600 as well as an annual conference and travel allowance of approximately US$1,600 for up to three years.
