Every year, millions of prospective students consult university rankings as part of their search for the right institution. But what kind of university rankings do students prefer? What matters most to them when comparing universities? And what would prospective students’ ideal university ranking measure?

These are some of the questions addressed in a new report, released last week, entitled “How Do Students Use University Content?” The infographic below sums up some of the key findings from the study, which can be viewed in full here.

i cannot figure out which university to choose betweeen Hong Kong University (hku) and Hong Kong University Of Science and Technology (hkust). My preferred subjects are finance and economics. I am looking for an undergraduate program.

Hi Achal, if you take a look at our rankings for economics and accounting & finance you'll see that HKUST is ranked 30th in the world for economics and 17th for finance, while HKU is ranked 36th for economics and 23rd for finance. There's not much in it however, so make your choice based on location and lifestyle as well :) L
